I was able to get 2 bedrooms prepped, primed and painted last week, even with working a long week and being sick. Not to bad if I do say so myself :). I seem to have caught the nastiest cold, it is all in my chest and sinuses. Nasty I tell you. It has been a rollercoaster weather-wise as well this past week, nice at the beginning of the week and ended the week on Sunday with SNOW! It was even on the ground, not funny for the middle of October.
Since I have not been feeling up to par I kind of cheated on the nail art for this week and just went for a glitter accent nail. I am staying with the pink for Breast Cancer Awareness month though. For this weeks NoTW I used Zoya 'Dot', I must have gotten this in a subscription bag, I haven't found Zoya polish available anywhere in store. 'Dot' is from the Spring 2014 Awaken Collection, it is a light pink creme that was a pain in the butt to apply! I think I may pass this one on to someone who may be OK with needing to do at least 3 coats and I probably should have done a 4th. It went on very streaky and thin. For my accent nail I used 'Sweetest Thing' from the Morgan Taylor 'Fight Like A Lady' mini set I gave you a peek of here. 'Sweetest Thing' is a beautiful multi-coloured glitter. It is predominatly pink glitter though. I used OPI Glitter Base Coat under the glitter, I hope it lasts better this time!
I decided to give the Julep top coat a try that I got in the Spring Sephora Beauty Closet. I really liked the brush on this top coat, it was nice and wide, I was able to apply the top coat in 2 swipes. It is not a fast drying top coat though, I am missing that about the Seche Vite. I plan to give each of the top coats I have a month before I make a decision on them. I am really trying to remeber to try out all those minis that where in that set. It was huge though!
Did you wake up to snow this past weekend? Done any home renos? I love redoing our house, it is really starting to feel like our home finally!
