As promised here is another Sephora Favorites set! This time it is the Sephora Favorites - Extend Your Style Dry Shampoo Collection. When I first saw this I almost picked it up right away! I use dry shampoo quite a bit in the Fall/WInter/Spring because I find I can get away without washing my hair as much than in the Summer. This set retails for $39 CAD for 7 trial/tavel size, but during the VIB Rouge sale I was able to pick it up for $31.20 CAD plus tax of course!
In the Sephora Favorites - Extend Your Style set you get -
Amika - Perk Up Dry Shampoo - The amika Perk Up Dry Shampoo contains the lightweight natural rice starch to absorb excess oil and dirt that weighs hair down. The lightweight, cleansing formula creates texture, adds volume, and deodorizes to refresh hair between shampoos. I first heard about Amika Dry Shampoo from Steph over at Fun Size Beauty back in June and was interested in it but when I went toCostco to pick it up they didn't have it anymore. I am happy to give this one a try! I don't know why I couldn't find it on sephora.ca, but I was able to find it on Birchbox.ca - 1 oz for $10 CAD. In the set you get 0.75oz, so a tad bit smaller.
Alterna - Bamboo Style Translucent Dry Shampoo Mango Coconut - Formulated with strengthening eco-certified bamboo extract, this virtually translucent dry shampoo is designed to absorb oil, product build-up, and impurities to extend the life of your blowout without leaving any powdery residue. Available in a crisp sugar lemon, sweet sheer blossom, or tropical mango coconut scent, it will leave your hair voluminous, beautiful, and delicately scented. I have not heard much about the Alterna dry shampoo, but I have used and loved the Caviar CC cream for hair! I am hoping I like the dry shampoo as much as the CC cream. The 1.25 oz size retails for $14 CAD.
Living Proof - Perfect hair Day Dry Shampoo - Living Proof Perfect Hair Day Dry Shampoo contains fast-absorbing powders that soak up oil and sweat. Great for all hair types and colors, a patented OFPMA molecule reduces the surface friction on hair—leaving virtually no visible residue or powdery build-up—making it easy to remove the powder. Odor neutralizers eliminate unwanted smells, and a time-release fragrance releases a light, refreshing, long-lasting scent. I am happy to try out this dry shampoo from Living Proof as it is getting talked about quite abit this month with it being in the Tati Birchbox colab. This one is supposed to leave your feeling and looking like you just washed it. The 1.8oz size retails for $14 CAD.
Drybar - Detox Dry Shampoo - Prolong your blowout with Detox Dry Shampoo! It absorbs oils, impurities, and odor while providing body and fullness, leaving hair feeling fresh and clean. Lightweight and easy to use, the micro powder blends in perfectly with hair color, leaving no white residue behind. Drybar I believe is new to Canada, or at least to sephora.ca! Always up to try out new products! The 1.4 oz size retails for $16.25.
24K Sally Hershberger - Supreme Stylist Voluminous Dry Shampoo - Supreme Stylist Voluminous Dry Shampoo energizes hair and prolongs style. It creates brushable texture with lasting, flexible hold and buildable volume—minus the powdery residue. Hydrolized keratin moisturizes, strengthens, and conditions while wheat protein provides strength. I not heard anything about this brand before, and it appears sephora.ca doesn't carry it either. It does however carry other products from the line so maybe the dry shampoo will be available at a later date? I can not find the dry shampoo available for sale on a Canadian site but the 1.5 oz retails for $12 USD on sephora.com. I hope this one isn't the one I end up liking best!
Klorane - Dry Shampoo with Oat Milk - This dry shampoo formula easily cleanses and refreshes hair in between washes. It’s formulated with oat milk to soothe and protect and corn and rice starches to absorb excess oils. Great for all hair types, it adds volume and texture, leaving hair revitalized, soft, and healthy-looking. I have seen the Klorane talked about on blogs and in Shopper's Drug Mart but have never bit the bullet and picked it up so I am quite happy to get to finally try it out. This one also isn't available on sephora.ca but I did manage to find it at London Drugs online for 5.99 for the 1 oz size, I swear it costs more at SDM! Happy to try this one out to!
Bumble and Bumble - Prêt-à-Powder - Extend the life of your blowout and give style a second shot. Prêt-à-Powder offers strong oil absorption and volume-boosting benefits in a finely milled formula that is nearly invisible in the hair. Great for all types and textures, yet ideal for hair that’s missed a wash or two, this must-have powder will leave hair looking clean, fresh, and voluminous. I have seen this little one in the aisle of spend at Sephora for quite awhile now. I have never tried a powder dry shampoo before so this one will be a new experience. The 0.5 oz size retails for $16 CAD.
By my calculations this set is worth approximately $87.24 CAD, not bad for paying $31.20 CAD! I am looking forward to trying out all these different dry shampoo and hopefully finding a new one to add into my rotation for the upcoming cooler months. I will try out a different Dry Shampoo each week and give you my thoughts on each one as I try them out.
I was lucky enough to be able to pick up the Sephora Favorites - Extend Your Style set, it is sold out online and in my local Sephora. If you happen to come across it either online or instore I think this is another great set to pick up if you are like me and use dry shampoo frequently.
Have you tried out any of these brands of dry shampoo? Which is your favorite? Is there one in particular that you would like to see my thoughts on sooner rather than later? Let me know.
