What a busy week this has been! Hallowe'en was a farily wet affair for the Trick o Treaters so we didn't get as many as usual. We are still plugging away on our basement reno, sub floor is almost laid and the stairs have gotten the brown paper bag treatment started! I will share the finished stair project hopefully within the next few weeks, once it gets finished.
For this weeks nails I thought I would give an Essence polish that I have had for a long time a try. I am using Essence 'Red Romance' from the 2014 Dark Romance collection. It is a dark red/oxblood color which is great for the Fall/Winter. I will hopefully give each top coat a try with different price points in polish. It is supposed to be a matte polish but I find it to be more of a waxy/leathery type of finish. I am not a fan of that finish so I used the Julep top coat. I used the regular 2 coats of polish with Sephora Formula X base coat. To show you the finish I left my pinky and ring finger without top coat, I did put it on after though!
Last weeks nails did not fair well at all. I have not had a Morgan Taylor polish ever crack on me the way this one did. Makes me wonder if it isn't the Julep top coat? I had quite a fair amount of tip wear and chips as well. I did do quite a bit of work with my hads this past week though as well, glueing brown paper to 11 stairs! I'm not which is the culprit though.
