It is almost the end of November! Where did the month go? I will be a Grandma next month, it has come so fast! It also snowed on the weekend here in London, ON! And it is still on the ground today as you can see in my NoTW picture. I am working on getting some lighting worked out inside for the coming Winter months as it is starting to get chilly in the backyard taking pictures.
Since today has been just kind of gloomy and dark I felt like using a darker polish for this weeks NoTW. I choose to use a polish from Nina Ultra Pro that I picked up I think last year at Sally Beauty. The shade is called 'Never Glum Plum', which to me is a greyish plum. This is another great Fall/Winter color, and work appropriate! The brush on the Nina polish is very different from what I am used to, it is fairly short and flat. It was great for application though! I could almost do each nail with one swipe of the brush! When I put the first coat of polish on it was very sheer and I was thinking that I would need to do more than my usual 2 coats. Luckily the second coat gave far better coverage and I only needed the 2 coats. I thought I would see how the CND Vinylux top coat would over a regular polish for this week.
Last weeks NoTW did not fair as well as the previous weeks, it almost makes me wonder just what is in the hand sanitizer at work! My nails had more tip wear from a week at work, with the same brand of polish, than a week of mudding and sanding walls! I am planning on picking up one more color from the CND line up of polishes, maybe a mid tone color to see how that one does. CND Vinylux 'TInted Love' was a great color but when I took it off today, my nails were stained red. I was not that impressed with that, it's part of the reason I choose a darkish color for this week!
Did you get any snow where you are yet? Is it still hanging around? Le tme know in the comments!
Just a quick reminder that I draw next Monday, November 30 for the Royal and Langnickel brush set for my 1 year Blog Anniversary. You can enter here.
