NoTW For December 14, 2015 - Star Nail Art

Another week of temps that feel more like Spring than almost Winter.  Still no snow in Southern Ontario, it really doesn't feel like only 2 more weeks until Christmas!  I have finally started my Christmas shopping, I am usually pretty much done by now but there has been quite a bit going on around here this year.  I am finally a Grandma though!  Keagan Teresa was born on Wednesday night at 1124PM on her due date!  She is a tiny peanut weighing in it at 6 lbs 15 oz.  The most beautiful little baby girl.

What I used to do the Star Nail Art - Morgan Taylor 'All White Now', Sephora Formula X 'Farhenheit', and OPI 'Pirouette My Whistle'.  As well as a fine nail art brush and dotting tool.

Since it is almost Christmas I thought I would continue with the seasonal Nail Art.  I 'tried' to do some stars but its not the easiest thing I have tried to do before.  I have a fine nail brush but I don't think its quite fine enough for what I was hoping to accomplish.

I started off with 2 coats of Sephora Formula X in Fahrenheit.  Than used my fine brush with Morgan Taylor 'All White Now' to try to make the stars.  It wasn't going the best so I decided to use a dotting tool and did a few dots as well.

Here is the finished attempt with the OPI 'Pirouette My Whistle' glitter, I think it takes away some of the mess!

I still wasn't entirely happy with it so than I figured glitter fixes everything and did a coat of OPI 'Pirouette My Whistle' to kind of distract for my less than stellar stars.  I topped everything off with the H.K. Girl top coat.  It didn't turn out quite as I had hoped but it will do for the week!

1 weeks wear on the Snowman Nail Art from last week.

Last weeks Snow man nail art lasted great, just some tip wear.  I recieved quite a few compliments on this one.  So far I am liking the Glisten & Glow H.K. Girl top coat.  It doesn't dry as fast as Seche Vite but it is still a good top coat.

Do you have any snow where you live?  Done your Christmas shopping yet?  Or tried any Nail Art lately, I'd love to see it if you have!  For next weeks Nail Art I am thinking on either Presents or Santa themed, any favorites you'd like to see?
