This past week has been extremely busy! There just is not enough time to get everything done it seems. I have finally almost finished my Christmas shopping, just stocking stuffers and wrapping. And of course bake cookies! We got a little snow this past week to, it didn't stick around for long though. Am I the only one who needs some snow to realize that Christmas is almost here? It just doesn't seem like it yet.
For this weeks NoTW I thought I would do both Santa Suit and an easy present nail. I used Essie- 'A-List' and China Glaze-'I'd Melt For You' for the base colors. Than Morgan Taylor-'All White Now' and 'Little Black Dress' for the nail art accents. Essie's 'A-List went on great, I almost could have gone with only 1 coat but it was a little uneven. China Glaze ' I'd Melt For You' on the other hand is still streaky with 2 coats, it's a good thing I am doing a little something overtop of it.
After the base coats dried I used 'All White Now' to paint the 'fur for Santa's suit. I also used my fine detail brush and 'I'd Melt For You' and 'A-List' to paint on the ribbon on the present nails. I originally was only going to do a present on the silver nail but than decided to do a red one to.
Once the 'fur' dried it was time for the belt and buttons with 'Little Black Dress'. For the belt I just used the polish brush but for the buttons I grabbed a dotting tool.
Last it was time for the buckle on the belt. Using the fine detail brush I made a square around the black/white. While I was doing this part I thought I would add some 'berries to the centre of my presents to hid a few imperfections!
And that is how I ended up doing my Santa Suit and Presents NoTW. The weather may not be co-operating and making it feel like Christmas but at least my nails are!
Last weeks NoTW lasted great, the usual few chips but it was hard to see them this week. I was quite happy with how the nail art lasted for the week. Have you done any CHristmas themed Nail Art lately? I'd love to see it! Until next week, have a Merry Christmas/Happy Holiday/ or just time off of work.
