Trip Through My Trash, Novemeber 2015

Another month has gone by and so it's time for the monthly Trip Through My Trash!  I didn't finish to many products last month, but I did finish up some full size products!  That is always a great thing, until you have to go out and rebuy them...  I did not do as well as I had hoped using up samples.  I only managed to get through a few, better luck this month!  Or maybe I should make that a New Years Resolution?!  We shall see how it goes.

Trash for November 2015.

Trash for November 2015.

My 2 cents worth on the products I finished up in November -

Pantene Pro-V Weekly Deep Cleanse Shampoo - I used this shampoo once a week to get rid of product build-up, and it worked great for that.  My hair felt very clean after using this, almost squeaky clean.  I did use a deep conditioner after using this as my hair felt a little to clean!  Repurchase? Maybe, I did finally pick up the Neutrogena Weekly Shampoo so I am trying that one at right now.

Thayers Rose Petal Witch Hazel - I use the Thayers Witch Hazel as a toner and it workes great!  I picked up this bottle for my birthday at the end of June and have just recently finished this.  If you would like to know more about what I thought about this you can see my review here.  Repurchase?  I already have!

batiste Dry Shampoo - This one is in the 'Original' scent, I really don't mind any of the scents of batiste that I have tried.  None of the scents are really overpowering or seem to last in the hair.  It does give a white cast that you do have to work abit to get out but other than that it's great!  This is my favorite dry shampoo that is cheap (relatively speaking, if you find it on sale its a bonus!) and easy to find, I can find it every drug store and WalMart.  Repurchase? Yes, it works great and is a great price.

Bath & BodyWorks Tahitian Paradise Foaming Hand Soap - Tahitan Paradise smelled great, not to flowery nor fruity, just about right!  This is our hand soap of choice and there is a bottle in every bathroom and at the kitchen sink.  Some months we go through more but there is usually at least one bottle of this in every empties post!  Repurchase? Always, but on sale!

Kirkland Daily Facial Towelettes - Another repeat monthly empty.  I get these at Costco for around $15 CAD for 4 packs of 30 and 2 travel packs of 15.  I don't know where you can get that great of a deal on wipes anywhere else.  If you want to know more of my thoughts on them you can check out pretty much every other empties post!  Repurchase? Already have.

Houglass Immaculate Liquid Powder Foundation - I was able to get 2 uses out of this sample packet.  It dries very quickly when you apply it so you have to work quickly!  When I first put it on I really liked how it looked, it had medium coverage and had a slight luminous sheen to it.  When I checked my makeup after about 4 hours I noticed that I had a few dry patches that I didn't know I had.  My face hadn't had any dry patches until I used this foundation!  It also wore off of my nose by 6 hours, the oily part of my face.  I think that this foundation may work best for someone who has normal skin as it clung to dry skin and wore off of the oil part.  Repurchase? No, it just didn't work for my skin type nor last through my long work days.

Dior Pore Minimizer - I am always on the hunt for something that will minimize the pores around my nose and cheek area.  I had high hopes for this sample and was able to get quite a few uses out of it, there is even still some left in the packet!  My skin felt and looked really smooth when I first put this on and my foundation applied nicely over it.  The only problem was after about 5 hours, I had no foundation left wehre I had used this!  It seemed to eat up the foundation I applied over it!  I have never had that happen before, My nose also seemed to produce a lot more oil than normal as well.  Repurchase? No, never!

Make Up Forever Step 1 Hydrating Primer - I was able to get 3 uses ot of this sample, not to bad!  I liked this primer ok, it went on nicely and sunk into my skin fairly quickly.  I didn't notice a lot of difference in the wear tme of my makeup but it did go on smoother and I had no dry patches, except when I tried it out with the Hourglass foundation?!  Repurchase?  Maybe, I do have another deluxe sample size of this so I will see after I use that one.

Juicy Couture Noir - This was a sample I picked up at Sephora a while ago, not sure how long ago, maybe last Christmas?!  I am trying to get through the stash of perfume samples I seem to have accumulated!  I like this perfume but have grown tired of it now.  It seems to go that way for me!  I think I really like a fragrance, buy a bottle, than get tired of it before I finish it!  Repurchase? Not right now, maybe in a while.

Nest White Sandlewood - Another perfume sample!  When I place on onine order through Sephora since we got a Canadian warehouse it seems like all they have for samples are fragrances!  I really liked this one though and am very tempted to pick up at least a rollerball of it.  It is a very delicate fragrance and isn't overpowering, I can wear it to work!  Repurchase? Probably when I get through my stash of samples!

Chloé - Imagine, another fragrance sample!  I like Chloé, but it is a little to strong for work.  I have to be very light handed if I want to wear this at work, I work in a hospital - no scent policy.  I can get away with light fragrance but this one is a little stronger than I should wear there so I use it on days off.  Repurchase?  I already have a rollerball of this from a previous Sephora Favorites.

Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream - I like Daisy Dream, it is a lighter scent than Daisy and I am able to wear it to work.  It has a slightly fruity scent that I like.  Repurchase? Maybe, I like this scent alot.

Bite Agave Lip Mask - This deluxe sample came in the 'Lip Love' set I got in Janruary!  This was a never ending product, you only need the smallest amount.  I use this at night and it is still on in the morning.  I really like using this priduct in the cooler months at night as a treatment and it really does seem to help hydrate my lips.  Repurchase?  Possibly, I am trying out another one right now.

Philosophy Hands of Hope - I think I got this deluxe sample last Christmas during a Facebook giveaway.  It was an ok hand cream, a tad thick.  It wasn't the most moisturizing hand cream but it did seem to almost coat my hands so they didn't dry out quite as bad at work.  Repurchase? No, there are other hand creams I like better.

Bite Beauty BB for lips in Flush - Another deluxe sample I got in the Sephora Favorities Beauty Closet in April!  I am slowly starting to get through the contents of all the Favorites kits I like to pick up.  I have used up a full size of the BB for lips and really like it.  I am not so sure it's worth the $28 CAD price point for a tinted lip balm though!  Repurchase? Not sure atm, this was the last one I had so I will see if I miss it.

Seche Vite Top Coat - I am finally giving up on this bottle of top coat.  It is nw way to thick to use.  I could get a bottle of nail polish thinner but I am just to lazy for that!  Seche Vite is so far my favorite top coat of the ones I have tried.  It does stink but it dries quickly and my polish lasts a week!  The only issue I have with it is that it gets thick before you get to finish it.  Repurchase? Probably, it just works great.

That is all the products I went thfough last month.  I didn't do as great as I had hoped with the sample stash but there is always next month!  As well as a never ending supply of them!  Did you get through any great or not so great products last month?  Did you get through many samples?
