I joined Influenster in December and was chosen to try out the L'Oreal Fibralogy Shampoo, Conditioner, and Thickening Booster. I received my box of goodies at the beginning of April and have been trying the products out since than. For reference I have long, medium, wavy hair.
First impression was I thought the shampoo smelled like cherry kool-aid! I didn't mind the smell was just surprised, I don't know why. When I rinsed the shampoo out of my hair it felt like straw and I was saying in the bathroom 'I don't like this!' I swear if anyone heard me they would have thought I was crazy! I than put in the booster and that smoothed things out and my hair didn't feel so bad anymore! I also used the conditioner. I am not a fan of the packaging as I find it to be to big and bulky. A little awkward to handle in the shower. I do like the large flip top lid though as it is easy to open and close and no nails were chipped trying to get into it! I perfer my shampoo and conditioner to be in pump bottles though.
I did find that my hair felt somewhat thicker, and it did hold a style for longer. My hair was also nice and soft to the touch. I didn't find it gave me any more volume though, but my hair is also almost to the small of my back (I am getting it cut this weekend at the Cut-A-Thon for Parkinson's and donating it to Cancer-before and after pics upcoming!). I did find that I could not go my usual 3-4 days between shampoos though. When I used my dry shampoo it just seemed to have a coating on my hair which I have not had happen before with my usual shampoo. I am not sure if this is because I usually use a clarifying shampoo once a week and a cleansing conditioner the other times I wash my hair.
I will post an update once I get my hair cut off on the weekend and I try it when my hair isn't quite so long anymore. I think that is when I may see more of a difference.
I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes.
