WOW, what a difference a week makes! I think Mother Nature has finally realized that it is Spring! It has progressively gotten nicer weather-wise this week. It started off fairly cold but is ending with temps in the 20s. That makes for being able to get out a lot easier. I am hoping to start taking my blog photos outside when I can from now on, that will hopefully give you all a better idea on colors and sheen.
I am off for the week and am 'planning' on finishing up painting in my living room. So it will be a rough week on my nails. I thought I would put Deborah Lippmann ' Girls Just Want To Have Fun' to the test for this week as I have heard that hers are supposed to be great. I haven't done the week test on one of her polishes before so we shall see how it fairs! Girls Just Want To Have Fun is a coral shade that just screams warm weather to me. It is so bright and cheery. I got this one is the same Sephora Favorites Meet Your Match set that had Nails Inc 'Devonshire Row'. This color was released in the summer of 2011, guess this polish is holding up well! Who else is singing the Cyndi Lauper version?! Or even the remake by Miley Cyrus?! I am old enough that the firs tone that comes to mind is Cyndi's version! I did 2 coats and it is still not quite opaque but I kind of like it this way (not to mention I am not a fan of more than 2 coats). It seems to not quite be a 'jelly' and not quite a creme.
Last weeks nails held up beautifully! I am a real fan of Nicôle by OPI's "Am I Making Myself Clarinet?' This is the only polish I have from them but if this is any indication of the quality I maybe should have a look at some other shades.
