Review Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer in Nude

So I am finally starting to review some of the items from the kits I have picked up and showed you!  I like to try some things out for awhile before I give my opinion of them.  Try different applications, primers, setting powder, etc.  The Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer in Nude is from the Sephora Favorites - Beauty Closet that I had given you a peek at in this post.

This was a fairly generous size, 1.0 oz, full size is 1.7 oz for $56!  I was happy about the size that they included in the kit.  But I wasn't very interested in giving this product a try though.  I have tried Laura Mercier primers before and they really didn't do much for me.  I don't know if it is my skin type or the products I had tried.  I was thinking that this tinted moisturizer was going to be just like the others. When I first put this on I was thinking 'Great, just like the others'. There was really not a lot of coverage, it slightly evened out my skin tone but not much else.  It seemed to be gone in a few hours as well, yay for oily t-zone!  Than I thought to try it out with Urban Decays Naked Skin  Powder Foundation over top that I had picked up.  I put the Laura Mercier on than use a fluffy brush to add the Urban Decay over top to give it the little bit more coverage and staying power. The combination of the two seem to work great together.  I get the little bit of SPF (SPF 20 Broad Spectrum) in the moisturizer and to up the coverage a bit with the Urban Decay powder foundation.

The Laura Mercier didn't wow me alone, but with the addition of the Urban Decay it is a winner for light/short makeup days.  This combo lasts about 4-6 hours before starting to break down on my nose.  I think this combo may last longer on someone without an oily nose!

I am glad I didn't give up on the Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer, it has been working great for when I am heading out to the mall or running errands.  I now have a combo that is great for weekends, times when I want to look even but don't need my 12+hour staying power for a workday.

Have you tried the Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer?  How did it work out for you?
