I have been waiting for a good time to try out the Dragonfly Nail Decals from Beyond The Nail and this seemed like a good time to give them a go! Dragonflies mean a lot to me for very personal reasons so when I saw that Beyond The Nail had these beautiful holographic nail decals I didn't even think twice about ordering them. I had to wait until I gave my sister her birthday present though as I also got her some! Today was the day I gave her her present so I can now finally wear them!
I decided to pair them with Nails Inc in 'Basil Street'. I picked this up when Shopper's Drug Mart was clearing the Nails Inc polishes out and picked this up for $1 on clearance. You just can't say no to a dollar polish! I actually picked another 2 colors but they are more suited to Fall/Winter so I will show you those ones than.
The polish went on well in the usual 2 coats, the first was very shear and I was thinking I was going to have to do 3 but luckily only 2. 'Basil Street' to me is a neutral nude beige, with maybe a bit of yellow in it? It blends in almost perfectly with my skin tone, maybe the perfect nude for me? I was wanting to use a nude to hopefully show off the Holographic Dragonfly from Beyond The Nail, I think I maybe should try with a brighter color the next time though! I do like the flash of silver from the nail decal though, just a little pop of something which is what I was looking for this week.
Last weeks NoTW lasted great! I wasn't to sure about OPI as I haven't used them in quite a while. 'Sorry I'm Fizzy Today' looked great for most of the week, I chipped my ring finger on Wednesday and was expecting the rest of the nail to follow suit but happily it didn't.
Have you found a perfect nude nail for you yet? I love the way nude nails make your fingers look so long.
