I hope you all had a first week of Fall, and got to enjoy some cooler weather. Fall is my favorite time of the year, you can sit outside and enjoy it! Its not to hot, there are hardly any bugs, and Pumpkin everything! I tried a Pumpkin Spice Latte from Starbucks and I am now hooked, those things are good. I went to Imats in Toronto on Saturday and got a chance to meet up with some lovely ladies from the CBB, as well as do a little make up shopping. I should have a post about Imats up this week.
For this weeks nails I decided to do an Essie polish, its been a little while since I did one of those. I choose Essie 'Chinchilly', perfect cooler month colour. 'Chinchilly' is a muted grey with just enough of a hint of purple in it to make it more interesting. 'Chinchilly' was originally released in the Fall of 2009, that's pretty good for a nail colour to still be popular over 5 years later! This was actually my first Essie polish, I think I picked it up about 2 years ago. It still hasn't started to get thick or change at all. I used 2 coats and the regular top and base coat as usual.
Last weeks nails lasted OK. A little more tip wear than I like to see, but still not bad enough that I felt they looked horrible. The shine had really worn off a lot by the end of the week though.
I am thinking that it may be time to toss the Seche Vite, I have been doing some reading and I am a little better than halfway done the bottle and that seems to be the point were it goes to thick to use. I have noticed it is almost starting to drag my polish. I will let you know when I start using a different top coat.
