I got Chosen to Participate in the Elle Quebec/Canada Beauty Grand Prix!

I was so excited when I found in the middle of Janruary that I was lucky enough to be chosen as a juror for the Elle Quebec/Canada Beauty Grand Prix.  I had signed up at the end of November and heard in Janruary that I had been picked as one of the jurors!  All I had to do was complete a short questionnaire and than hurry up and wait to see if I was lucky enough!  They chose 750 women and 50 men to be jurors.  You don't have any choice as to what you get.  You are testing all the products blind, they do a great job of taping up the products so there is no sign of what you are testing out.  Once you get your package there is a link sent to you via email giving you instructions on how to use the products you were sent as well as what category they are in.  There are also minimum durations for the amount of time you are supposed to try each product out for.  There is an evaluation form to be filled out on each product, which you can fill out as you use them and save your opinions before you submit your logbook in May.

My Elle Quebec/Canada Grand Prix 2016 products.

Don't they all look pretty and shiney!  I recieved 3 Body Scrubs, 4 Deodarants, 5 Face Serums, and 6 Dry Shampoos.  I use products in 3 out of the 4 categories already!

My 3 mystery Body Scrubs.

My 3 mystery Body Scrubs.

I am looking forward to trying out all 3 of the Body Scrubs, I have Keratosis Pilaris on my upper arms and am on the hunt for something to help get it under control.  I have no clue as to what any of these are!  I do know that I am not a fan of sticking my fingers in pots and 2 of the 3 are pots.

My 4 mystery Deodorants.

My 4 mystery Deodorants.

Deodorant isn't the most exciting thing to test out, but I am strangely interested in this selection!  I have been using Right Guard for men lately as it has seemed to be the only thing that is working lately!  2 are solids, 1 roll-on, and a spray-on.  I can't remember the last time I used a roll-on, I do remember them being wet and sticky and taking forever to dry!  I have never used a spray-on deodorant before so who knows maybe I will like it!  I am pretty sure I can guess these 4!

5 mystery Face Serums.

5 mystery Face Serums.

The only category that I don't use regularily are the Face Serums so I am excited ot try those out to see if they make a difference in my skin.  I have been using Argan Oil every night, but the directions for the Face Serums are to use it morning and night before your regular skincare routine.  Since I don't regularily use Face Serums, I am unsure on most of these but I think I have a good guess on a couple!

The 6 mystery Dry Shampoos.

Now here is a category of products that I use all the time!  I have been making my way through the Sephora Favorites - Extend Your Style Dry Shampoo collection for a while!  I use dry shampoo a few times a week, but I still only have a good guess on 1 of the bottles!  This selection will be fun to try out, maybe I will find a new favorite!

My Elle Quebec/Canada Grand prix journal and book markers.

My Elle Quebec/Canada Grand prix journal and book markers.

I decided to pick up a journal to write down my thoughts on all the products as I am using them so that when the testing is over I will be able to remember what I thought about them all.  I have decided to seperate all the categories with the book marks and written down each number with the directions on how to use the product.  If I have a quess as to what the product is a am also writing it down on the same page.  It will be fun to see if I am right about any of them!

Once all the testing is done and I have submitted my log book I will update you on my thoughts on all these products!  I am excited that I was given the opportunity to blind test so many different products, I really have no preconcieved opinions on the products because I really am not sure as to what they are in the first place.  I think that sometimes when we try out new products alot of our thoughts on them are somewhat weigted on what others experiences with the product were.  I won't have that with these ones!  The only preconcieved notions I have about them are what I know I like and don't like, like sticking my fingers in product-gross!

Have you ever tried out products completely blind?  If you have, were your opinions on the product different on what others thought about it?  Let me know in the comments!
