Well, I guess it's back to back Becca! My sister waited in line at Sephora last Thursday to be sure to get this palette! She didn't want to order it online as she was given a gift certificate for Mother's Day and this was what she wanted! Why doesn't Sephora allow us to use gift cards online?! She was texting me while I was at work, when she first got there, 20 minutes before the store opened that there were a few girls ahead of her and by the time the store was opening there were 20 of them, all waiting for this palette. When she got in store they had 10 on the shelf, I am thinking a few girls walked away disappointed, luckily my sister was near the front of the line and was able to get hers. When I stopped in the store last night they had about 15 on display, so if you are wanting this palette head in or call your local Sephora to see if they have any in stock.
In the palette you are getting 2 Shimmering Skin Perfectors Pressed in Champagne Pop and Prosecco Pop, 2 Mineral Blushes in Amaretto and Pamplemousse, and 1 Luminous Blush in Rosé Spitz. All of the products in the palette are just slightly smaller than if you were to purchase the full sizes separately.
Palette Full Size
Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed 0.19oz 0.28oz
Mineral Blush 0.12oz 0.2oz
Luminous Blush 0.10oz 0.21oz
You are getting a great deal though buying the palette if they are shades you see yourself wearing. A full size Shimmering Skin Perfector is $46 CAD, Mineral Blush $39 CAD and Luminous Blush $41 CAD each. When my sister picked up the palette on launch day it was $59 CAD, but checking Sephora.ca today it is now $62 CAD?! It went up in price in less than a week?
The shades in the palette are -
Rosé Spritz - Luminous Blush - soft peachy pink with pale gold shimmer. I found this one to have a lot of shimmer and shine. I would use this one as more of a blush topper/high lighter.
Amaretto - Mineral Blush - matte toasted almond. This is my favorite in the palette, perfect neutral-y shade to go with almost anything!
Pamplemousse - Mineral Blush - matte warm coral pink. This one can get out of hand quickly if you aren't careful! A nice pink for the warm days!
Champagne Pop - Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed - soft white gold with peachy pink undertones. I found that the Champagne Pop in this palettes formula was just a little stiffer than last years stand alone shade, but the pigmentation is definitely there!
Prosecco Pop - Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed - medium warm gold. They aren't kidding around when they call this a warm gold! To me this is a very intense gold highlight!
I found the products in the palette to be the same quality that you would expect from Becca. All the shades were very pigmented yet easy to blend out if you got a little heavy handed! One thing I will say about the blushes is that they are very soft, I am not sure that they would travel well! I just have to lightly tap my brush in the product and get enough on the brush, no swirling for days here!
I won't be picking up the Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Pop Face Palette myself, but am glad that my sister did! I already own Champagne Pop and don't use it near enough, nor for it's intended purpose! The 2 matte blush shades are my favorite, I love Becca's blush formula. I do definitely think it is worth picking up if you were wanting Champagne Pop and/or to try out some great pigmented blushes.
Did you pick up this palette? Or will you be passing on it?
