I happened to find quite a few sales in the month of May.... Good in some ways, not so good for my wallet! I made quite a few online orders last month plus a few trips to the mall, oops!
Yankee Candle had all of the votives on sale for $1 each so I ended up picking up a dozen more summer-y scents. I was getting fairly low on votives so it wasn't so bad, you can tell what my favourite scent is (Coconut Beach!). I like to burn votives for the most part, that way I don't get tired of a scent to quickly, not to mention it is so easy to change up the scent without having a lot of bigger candles to store. I find that the Yankee Candle votives burn for a whole day plus some, I usually burn them for around 10 hours each day if I am home for the day, and there is still some left for the next day.
I was lucky enough to win a giveaway hosted by Chelle from Makeup Your Mind from Live Clean. If you are looking for some great eyeshadow looks that use some beautiful bright shades, head over to Chelle's blog or subscribe to her YouTube channel. I received Bali Oil Shampoo and Conditioner, Argan Oil Leave In Conditioner, Green Earth Invigorating Body Wash, Fragrance Free Body Lotion, Lavender Vanilla Foam Bath,Hydrating Creamy Cleanser, and Nourishing Night Cream! I can't wait to start using everything in the prize pack! I did give the Foam Bath to my granddaughter though, I am not a fan of baths but she is! Thanks again Chelle!
I picked up a few things from Sephora in May, maybe a few to many?! I am on the hunt for a good crease brush to replace my Royal & Langnickel BC430 Crease Brush, hence why I picked up 2 brush sets! In my defence of said brush sets, both were in the sale section! The Too Faced Melted Latex was something I was interested in trying out as I really like the Melted Mattes, unfortunately it has already been returned. It settled into every line I have and was so streaky and sticky! Of course I had to pick up the KVD 10th Anniversary palette to, I really like KVD shadows and liked that this palette had a few different shades that I don't really have a lot of, namely the greens. I have used it a few times and have gotten compliments on the looks I have done. I am on the hunt for a nude liquid lip and liked the shades in the NARS Cool Nude lip duo so when I returned the Too Faced I picked it up. I have been wanting the Anastasia Soft Glam palette since it came out, I sold our old electric snow blower so I finally picked it up!
Glam Sense has changed the name to Topbox Circle and I was lucky enough to be chosen to ty out the La Roche-Posay Hyalu B5 Serum. I like it but think it may be a better serum for me only at night or more so during the drier winter months. I started to break out in a few different places than usual when I was using it twice a day. My skin seems to like it better now that I am only using it at night.
I was also lucky enough to receive a Spring into Summer box from Farlyco Beauty full of some great new products to try out. Lashes, I have quite a few pairs of lashes but have never worn them! Time to try some out that are made for Hooded eyes. An eyebrow.eye lash tinting system, I am overdue for tinting mine atm. Face masks from 7th Heaven, I love these masks, I tend to get 2 uses out of them so I usually put the remainder of the ratchet into a small container. Purple Tree Miracle Balm, I can already say that I love this stuff! I have really dry patches on my elbows from sitting at a computer most of the day, I tend to lean a lot on my elbows, and this cream has already made a huge difference in the week and a half since I started using it. I usually use a flat foundation brush to put on masks so I am happy to give the Ecotools Facial Mask Mates a try, I have never used a sponge to wash off a mask so hopefully that works better! And lastly, Plump lips by Modele, it says to use this 3 times a day for a month to see results. Hopefully it works. I will let you know more of my thoughts on all of these products coming up soon.
I can't remember where I had read about the Born Pretty Stamping mat, but I saw it on Amazon and decided to try it out. The Nail tips I thought would be great to swatch my nail polishes on and they are clear so hopefully I can get a good idea on the shades! Not to mention that I can write the shade names on the stick as well.
If you saw my April Boxycharm, you will have seen that my Colourpop eyeshadow palette, Semi Precious arrived broken. I emailed a picture of the broken palette with the shipping label to Boxycharm and they sent out the Element Of Surprise palette as a replacement! In my April Boxycharm I had wrote that I had been hoping for either the 'You Had Me At Hello' or 'Element of Surprise' palette. I had thought that I would be getting the same palette that was broken, I was so happy to see this one instead!
I have been waiting for awhile now for my Mac store to get pro pans of Uninterrupted and Kid back instock but it hadn't been happening anytime soon. So when I saw that Mac online had free shipping on any order I promptly ordered both, as well as the powder puffs that were on sale. For my free sample I thought I would try out the Prep + Prime Natural Radiance.
Wow, I hadn't realized just how much stuff came into the house last month! I had best get to work trying out all of the new goodies sooner rather than later. I am sure that Junes New In will be fairly large, it is my Birthday at the end of June! Did you take advantage of any sales last month? Find anything good online? Let me know!
